The national basketball team has been responsible for wiping all those terrible memories with a stunning victory against Panama and the debut of several young players, including standout, Kender Urbina, following a significant issue caused by the call for a “alternative team” for the AmeriCup.
Urbina’s debut has a particular touch because of the pilot’s young age; he was one of the youngest Venezuelans to wear the national team uniform for the first time in the halted Venezuela-United States game when he was only 17 years and 264 days old.

To be more precise and in accordance with the stats of the statesman Pedro Marrero, Kender Urbina surpasses Leopoldo Bompart (16 years and 42 days), Carl Herrera (16 years and 246 days), and César Portillo to become the fourth-youngest player to don the Venezuela shirt (16 years and 304 days).

Kender Urbina made his professional basketball debut in Venezuela this year, playing for the Spartans Distrito Capital in the SPB. The rider from Caracas has seen action in three of his commitments so far this season. His first game with the national team did not go completely wrong, but he was able to score a few points and even win Gregory Vargas’s praise.
Me gusta como juega KENDER URBINA 💪🏽 sin miedo y luciendo bien 🔥🔥🔥🔥

The other newcomers
Four other members of the national team, in addition to Kender Urbina, played their first minutes with the team. One of them is Miguel Bolvar, the hub of Cocodrilos de Caracas. The other was Elián Centeno, a tall power forward from Spartans Distrito Capital (who would have made his 33 debut with a medal included).
