Born: 1948

Charles became King the moment his mother died.

He married Camilla Parker Bowles on 9 April 2005. When Charles became King, she became Queen Consort, as per the wishes of Queen Elizabeth II.

Born: 1982

As the oldest son of King Charles III and Princess Diana of Wales, Prince William is currently first in line for the throne.

When his mother passed away, he was only 15 years old. Later, while attending St. Andrews University, he met Kate Middleton, the woman who would become his wife. In 2011, the couple were hitched.

As a Counsellor of State, who represents the Queen on official occasions, he was appointed on his 21st birthday. He and his wife welcomed their first kid, George, in July 2013, followed by Charlotte and Louis.

Prior to serving three years as an RAF search-and-rescue pilot with RAF Valley on Anglesey, north Wales, the prince completed training with the Army, Royal Navy, and RAF. Alongside his royal duties, he also worked two years as a part-time co-pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

In July 2017, he stepped down from the position to focus on additional royal responsibilities for the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh. William is now the Prince of Wales and has inherited his father’s Duchy of Cornwall. The Princess of Wales is now Catherine. His principal responsibilities as the successor to the throne are to assist the King in carrying out his regal duties.

Prince George of Wales was born on July 22, 2013, in London’s St. Mary’s Hospital. His father was there when his son, who weighed 8lbs 6oz, was born (3.8kg).

After his father, Prince George is next in line for the crown.

Born: 2015

Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was born to Catherine, Princess of Wales on May 2, 2015, once more at St Mary’s Hospital. The 8lb 3oz (3.7kg) baby was delivered in front of William.

Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Wales, after her father and elder brother, is third in line to the throne.

On April 23, 2018, at St. Mary’s Hospital in London, the new Princess of Wales gave birth to her third child, a boy weighing 8 pounds, 7 ounces.

Fourth in line to the throne Louis Arthur Charles was born in the presence of William.

Born: 1984

Prince Harry completed his training at the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst before joining the Army as a lieutenant and helicopter pilot.

Capt Wales, as he came to be known, served on active duty in Afghanistan twice during his ten years in the military, from 2012 to 2013, as a co-pilot and gunner on an Apache helicopter. He retired from the Army in 2015 and currently concentrates on philanthropic work, including as organizing the Invictus Games for wounded service members and conservation in Africa.

Since turning 21, he has served as a Counsellor of State, acting as the Queen’s representative in official capacities.

On May 19, 2018, he wed American actress Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle. The royal couple announced in January 2020 that they will step down and split their time between the UK and North America as “senior” royals. They stated that their goal was to “work toward financial independence.”

A little more than a year later, Buckingham Palace declared the pair will renounce their honorary military postings and royal patronages, as well as their plans to resume royal duties.

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, the first child of the Sussexes, was born on May 6, 2019, weighing 7 pounds, 3 ounces, and the duke was there. The couple decided not to utilize a title for their first child by naming him as they did.

The couple did not want to raise him as a formal royal, according to BBC royal writer Jonny Dymond, who commented on the decision when the name was revealed.

The second child of the Duchess of Sussex was born on June 4, 2021, in Santa Barbara, California. Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, also known as Lili, is her 11th great-grandchild and is named after the Queen’s pet name in the Royal Family.

Her middle name, Diana, was chosen in memory of Prince Harry’s mother, who passed away in a car accident in 1997 when he was just 12 years old.

The third child of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Andrew was ninth in line to the throne and the first child to be born to a reigning monarch in 103 years.

When he wed Sarah Ferguson, afterwards the Duchess of York, in 1986, he was made the Duke of York. Beatrice and Eugenie, their daughters, were born in 1988 and 1990, respectively. The separation of the duke and duchess was announced in March 1992. They split up in 1996.

The Duke participated actively in the 1982 Falklands War during his 22 years of service in the Royal Navy. In addition to his royal duties, he worked for the government until 2011 as a special trade representative.

Following a BBC interview concerning his friendship with US businessman Jeffrey Epstein, who committed suicide while awaiting trial on allegations of sex trafficking and conspiracy, Prince Andrew resigned from his position as a member of the British royal family in 2019.

He made no admission of guilt and had always rejected the charges, but in February he agreed to pay an undisclosed amount to resolve a civil sexual assault action launched against him in the US by one of Epstein’s victims.

The eldest child of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, is Princess Beatrice. Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice of York is her full title. She goes by the name York but does not have a formal last name.

In July 2020, she wed real estate magnate Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in Windsor’s Royal Lodge’s Royal Chapel of All Saints. Coronavirus postponed the couple’s May wedding, which they had originally planned to have.

Princess Beatrice had a baby girl, Sienna Elizabeth, in September 2021, who is 10th in line to the throne and is the Queen’s 12th great-grandchild. Princess Beatrice is also stepmother to Mr Mapelli Mozzi’s son Christopher Woolf, known as Wolfie, from his previous relationship with Dara Huang

The youngest child of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, is Princess Eugenie. She is the 11th in line to the throne and is officially known as Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie of York.

She uses York instead of having an official last name, like her sister Princess Beatrice. On October 12, 2018, she wed her longtime partner Jack Brooksbank at Windsor Castle.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s son, August, born on 9 February 2021, is the Queen’s ninth great-grandchild.

Prince Edward was given the title Earl of Wessex and Viscount Severn on his marriage to Sophie Rhys-Jones in 1999. The couple have two children, Lady Louise, born in 2003, and James, Viscount Severn, born in 2007.

After a brief period with the Royal Marines, the prince formed his own TV production company. He subsequently supported the Queen in her official duties and carried out public engagements for charities. He is 13th in line to the throne.

The youngest child of the Earl and Countess of Wessex is Viscount Severn. Instead of the traditional titles of prince or princess, the couple opted to give their children the “courtesy” titles of sons or daughters of an earl. Some of the responsibilities associated with royal titles are said to have motivated this choice.

Lady Louise Windsor, who was born in 2003, is the eldest child of the Earl and Countess of Wessex. She was born before a statute that abolished the arrangement where a younger son may replace an elder daughter went into effect, hence she is lower in the line of succession than her younger brother.

The Queen’s only daughter and second child is Anne, Princess Royal. She was third in line for the throne when she was born, but she is now sixteenth. In June 1987, she received the title Princess Royal.

Peter and Zara’s father, Captain Mark Phillips, is the first of Princess Anne’s two husbands, while Vice-Admiral Timothy Laurence is the second.

Following her marriage to Capt. Phillips, the princess became the first royal to use the surname Mountbatten-Windsor in a legal document, the marriage record. At the 1976 Montreal Olympics, she represented Great Britain in equestrian competitions. She is also active in a variety of organisations, notably Save the Children, where she has served as president since 1970.

The Queen’s oldest grandchild is Peter Phillips. Two daughters, Savannah (born in 2010) and Isla (born in 2012), were born to him and Canadian Autumn Kelly after they wed in 2008.

Due to their female ancestry, the Princess Royal’s children do not inherit any royal titles. Their children lack courtesy titles because Mark Phillips turned down the offer of an earldom when they got married.

In February 2020, Peter Phillips and his wife made the announcement that they were divorcing.

Savannah, born in 2010, is the elder daughter of Peter and Autumn Phillips and was the Queen’s first great-grandchild.

With an extremely successful riding career that included an Olympic silver medal at the London 2012 Games, Zara Tindall followed in the footsteps of her parents. Her first child, Mia Grace, was born in 2014 after she wed former England rugby player Mike Tindall in 2011.

The Princess Royal is still 20th in line to the throne, but her offspring do not hold royal titles as they are descended from the female line.

They lack courtesy titles since their father, Mark Phillips, declined an earldom when he wed Princess Anne.

The Queen’s granddaughter Zara Tindall gave birth to her first child, Mia Grace, in January 2014.

At Stroud Maternity Unit in Gloucestershire, the couple’s second child was born on June 18, 2018, weighing 9 lbs. 3 oz.

Her great-grandmother, Lena Elizabeth, was honored by having her name.

Lena Elizabeth, like her sister, lacks a royal title and will be referred to as Miss Tindall.
